On Tuesday May 19,2026, Diponegoro University through the Faculty of Public Health once again organized the Undip Global Classroom (UGC) as part of the World Class University (WCU) program implementation to support the internationalization of higher education and strengthen the global academic atmosphere. This session carried the theme “A Practical Guide to Scientific Writing for Public Health Students”, focusing on enhancing academic writing skills for qualitative research manuscripts among students and academic communities.
The UGC activity was conducted online and featured international speaker Dr. Jerico Pardosi who shared insights on strategies for developing systematic and high-quality qualitative research manuscripts that meet international publication standards. During the session, the speaker explained the importance of academic writing quality in qualitative research, including the development of research background, methodology, data analysis techniques, as well as the presentation of findings and discussion that reflect strong analytical interpretation.
The session was moderated by Dr. Dra. Chriswardani Suryawati, M.Kes who guided the discussion interactively and dynamically. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly in discussions regarding manuscript writing challenges, publication strategies in reputable international journals, and the development of qualitative research quality in public health studies.
The topic addressed in this activity is highly relevant amidst the growing demand for high-quality scientific publications in academic environments. Qualitative research plays an important role in understanding public health phenomena in depth and contextually, making manuscript writing competence an essential skill for students, lecturers, and researchers.
Through the implementation of Undip Global Classroom, students not only gained international learning experiences but also broadened their global perspectives, strengthened critical thinking abilities, and enhanced academic competencies in research and scientific publication. In addition, this activity contributes to strengthening the internationalization indicators of Universitas Diponegoro in global rankings such as QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) and Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, particularly in the areas of International Collaboration, International Faculty, and Teaching and Learning Environment.
With the spirit of “Expanding Global Learning Opportunities,” Undip Global Classroom is expected to become a strategic platform for strengthening international academic culture, improving research quality, and building global collaborative networks in the field of public health.
