A total of 1,500 mangrove seedlings were planted as an effort to rehabilitate coastal ecosystems and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in addressing climate change and protecting marine ecosystems.

The session covered topics such as preventing coastal abrasion, improving environmental quality, and supporting the sustainability of local communities’ livelihoods.

Following the opening session, the activity continued with an educational session for participants regarding the important role of mangroves in maintaining coastal ecosystem balance.

Participants also received technical guidance on proper mangrove planting methods to ensure optimal growth of the seedlings.

Afterward, all participants worked together to plant mangroves in the designated coastal area.

The activity was also accompanied by a beach clean-up initiative as a form of environmental concern and an effort to create a cleaner and healthier coastal area.

Through this activity, it is expected to increase awareness and encourage active participation among students and the community in preserving environmental sustainability, particularly in coastal areas.

Furthermore, this initiative is expected to create long-term impacts in environmental rehabilitation efforts and support ecosystem sustainability for future generations.
