Dean of FPH UNDIP Emphasizes Commitment to Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence to Leadership and Structural Staff

Semarang, April 20, 2026 – The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro (FPH UNDIP) held a socialization on the prevention and handling of sexual violence to leaders and structural personnel within the faculty. This activity was led directly by the Dean of FKM UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Budiyono, S.KM., M.Kes., as a form of strengthening the institution’s commitment to creating a safe, comfortable, and free campus environment from all forms of violence.

In the activity attended by the vice deans, heads and secretaries of study programs, section heads, managers, supervisors, and other structural elements, the Dean emphasized that all leaders have the same responsibility in building a culture of mutual respect and protecting the entire academic community.

“The prevention and handling of sexual violence is not only the responsibility of one particular unit, but is a joint commitment of all leadership and structural elements at FPH UNDIP. We must ensure that every report is handled quickly, precisely, and in favor of the victim,” said the Dean.

On this occasion, the Dean also emphasized the importance of all leaders’ understanding of the various regulations that are the basis for the implementation of the prevention and handling of sexual violence in the university environment. Some of the regulations that were socialized include:

  1. Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS)

  2. Permendikbudristek Number 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) in the university environment

  3. Regulation of the Rector of Universitas Diponegoro Number 13 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the UNDIP Environment

  4. Permendikbudristek Number 46 of 2023 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Education Units

Through the presentation, the participants were invited to understand the forms of sexual violence, reporting mechanisms, case handling flows, and preventive measures that need to be taken at the faculty and work unit levels.

The Dean of FPH UNDIP also reminded that leaders and structural officials must be role models in maintaining ethics, professionalism, and healthy relationships in the work and academic environment. The Dean emphasized that all leaders and structural elements do not stop at the leadership level only, but also socialize material on the prevention and handling of sexual violence to all employees in their respective units and to all students. In addition, each element of leadership is asked to be more sensitive to the potential for violence, including creating a safe space for victims and witnesses to submit reports without fear.

This socialization activity is expected to strengthen the synergy between units within FPH UNDIP in realizing an inclusive and violence-free campus. FPH UNDIP is committed to continuing to educate, strengthen the system, and provide assistance so that efforts to prevent and handle sexual violence can run optimally and sustainably.
