The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia issued Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023 concerning Quality Assurance in Higher Education. This regulation includes a quality assurance system in higher education which is carried out through determining, implementing, evaluating, controlling and improving Higher Education Standards. The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro, as one of the higher education institutions in the field of public health, needs to adopt and make curriculum adjustments in accordance with the directions in Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023. This regulation regulates the credit load, number of semesters, and other provisions that are different compared to the regulations. previously.
Apart from that, the development of OBE (Outcome Based Education) based learning methods requires FKM Undip to make adjustments to the learning plans for each course. The challenges in the Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 era also show the importance of involving users, stakeholders and alumni to be able to prepare Undip FKM graduates who are competent and competitive.
Based on this issue, FKM Undip held a curriculum workshop for Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Study Programs which aimed to develop a curriculum in accordance with the latest policies for Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Study Programs within the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University. This workshop was held in Grasia Hotel Semarang. Prof. Dr. Ir. Setia Budi Sasongko, D.E.A, Chair of LP2MP Diponegoro University and Prof. Dr. Dr. Sabarinah Prasetyo, M.Sc., Chair I of the Association of Indonesian Public Health Higher Education Institutions was invited as speakers to share their expertise and experiences related to the curicculum. Apart from that, this workshop also invited stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, Provincial and Regency/City Health Services, industry, educational institutions, associations, hospitals, health centers and other health sector agencies to provide suggestions and input to enrich the public health curriculum and produce graduates who are competent and ready to work.
