Recently, several students had accidents at the Universitas Diponegoro neighborhood. From the victim’s observation, they admitted that they were not careful when riding.
Sunday (02/10/2022), the Safety Riding Seminar was held in Hall D FKM UNDIP themed “Proud to be the #Being_Safe Generation” in collaboration with Astra Honda Motor Central Java and OSH Forum 2023 as the committee. This activity aimed to improve safety riding behavior of FKM Undip’s students. The FKM UNDIP’s Riding Safety Forum was also inaugurated in this seminar by the Dean of the FKM UNDIP, Dr. Budiyono, S.KM, M.Kes. This forum’s member were the representatives from each FKM UNDIP’s student organization.
Astra Honda Motor Central Java delivered about safety riding and the introduction of traffic signs. The Tembalang Police also presented about complying the traffic regulations. There was also a safety riding simulation on the FKM UNDIP’s yard. The participants looked enthusiastic in the simulation even though the wheather was hot.
It was considered successful in increasing insight and knowledge for FKM UNDIP’s students. Based on the difference in pre-test and post-test results, it showed that students’ understanding of the importance of driving safety increased by 66%.
It is hoped that this seminar can create a safety riding climate in the Universitas Diponegoro neighborhood, especially in the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro.
