FPH UNDIP’s Student Shine at ASEAN Student Mobility Programme 2025 in Malaysia

Semarang (18/03/2025) The ASEAN Student Mobility Programme in conjunction with ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum (AEF) 2025 take place on 19 – 25 February 2025 in Malaysia. This event includes Public Speaking Workshop, Young Talent Speaker Contest, ASEAN Future Innovator Challenge, Campus Visit, Discussion and Presentation, Seminars, Malaysia Tour and attending the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025. A total of 5 Universitas Diponegoro students participated in this activity, one of which was Haidar Hasna Romiiza from Bachelor Program of Public Health.

The ASEAN Student Mobility Programme was held at 13 Host Universities across Malaysia and was attended by 352 students from 95 universities in the Southeast Asian region. This activity is expected to increase cross-cultural understanding, expand horizons, especially SDGs 4, 8, 10, 12, 13, and 17 and build a network of friendships among the younger generation of ASEAN leaders. In this activity, students of the Faculty of Public Health were awarded as Finalists of the ASEAN Future Innovator Challenge, Semi-Finalist Young Talent Speaker Contest in the sub-theme of ASEAN Climate Action: Pathways to Sustainability and Resilience (SDG 12,13), and Best Innovative Video Host by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka.

After the ASEAN Student Mobility Programme which was held at 13 Host Universities on 19 – 23 February 2025, followed by the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum which was held at Sunway Resort, Kuala Lumpur on 24 – 25 February 2025. This event presented several speakers and the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir as a speaker and documentation with the finalists of the ASEAN Future Innovator Challenge. Not to forget, there are many booths from universities in Southeast Asia as a medium for introduction, education, and promotion to participants who are students from Southeast Asia.
