Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) has a vision to become a world-class research university that is superior and internationally competitive. One of the main strategies to realize this vision is to strengthen international academic cooperation, including in the field of postgraduate education through the Joint Guidance Program. The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro (FPH UNDIP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Malaysia Sabah (UMS). This collaboration has been implemented through various activities, one of which is the International Teaching Fellowship (ITF) program.
The follow-up to this collaboration is the Enhancing Quality Education for International University Recognition (EQUITY Project). One of the activities is joint supervision which is carried out online and offline. This collaboration involves Prof. Kamruddin Ahmed BMHRC, University of Malaysia Sabah, who has H-Index 30. Meanwhile, the supervisor of FPH UNDIP is Prof. Dr. Ir. Mursid Raharjo, M.Si. Students involved in this activity are M. Kamali Zaman, a student of the Doctoral Program in Public Health of FPH UNDIP, Nethi Puspitha Sari and Essyca Widya Pratiwi, from the Master of Environmental Health UNDIP. The activity was also attended by S3 students from the University of Indonesia Ikhtiyaruddin, Doctoral Program in Epidemiology. This activity lasts until May 2026, with the main target of producing articles to be submitted to the Q1 Journal.
This activity is designed to increase international recognition, which supports UNDIP to be included in the world’s Top 500 universities. This program also opens up opportunities for research cooperation with universities and other research institutions abroad.
