The Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro, continues to strengthen its international academic network through a Joint Supervision program with Prof. Stephan Van den Broucke from Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium, held from 26 April to 2 May 2026. The program was initiated and coordinated by Prof. drg. The series of activities began with a meeting involving institutional leaders to discuss strategic directions for international collaboration and future academic partnerships. This was followed by research paper presentations and intensive discussions on opportunities for joint research development, collaborative proposal writing, and exploration of international funding opportunities, including Erasmus+ and European Union funding schemes.

During the program, Prof. Stephan Van den Broucke also provided mentorship on scientific article writing and international journal submission preparation. In addition, joint supervision sessions and student presentations were conducted, providing a platform for academic discussion among students, supervisors, and international partners to strengthen the quality of postgraduate research.

As part of the effort to strengthen field-based research implementation, participants visited a Tuberculosis (TB) research site in Mangkang, Semarang, to observe the implementation of community-based TB programs. The activities continued with a visit to Balkesmas Ambarawa to gain insight into TB service delivery systems and program implementation practices.

Through this joint supervision program, FPH UNDIP aims to strengthen its international academic culture, improve the quality of scientific publications, and expand opportunities for research and educational collaboration with global partners. This initiative also reflects FPH UNDIP’s commitment to supporting higher education internationalization and advancing human resource development in public health.
