A total of 10 students of the Health Promotion Specialization of the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University participated in the Students Go International at South East Asia Physical Activity Conference 2025. The conference will be held at Centara Grand, Bangkok, Thailand on November 5-7 2025.
This conference is an important milestone in the regional efforts of the Southeast Asian region to promote physical activity and tackle Non-Communicable Diseases. This is in line with the theme raised “Uniting Movement: A Collective Action for Equitable Opportunities in Physical Activity”. This conference was packed with a series of activities such as symposiums, workshops, panel discussions, case study simulations, presentation of research results, and research presentations through poster media by several delegates in Southeast Asian countries.
All activities carried out are closely related to the science of health promotion which is defined as the process of allowing people to increase control over their own health. Deputy CEO of Thai Health Promotion Foundation, DR Pairoj Saonuam said that “The SEAPAC conference is a step to encourage people to live more active, healthier and longer lives”. This is of course in line with the increasing number of cases of non-communicable diseases caused by a lack of physical activity.

The experience of attending conferences for students is knowledge, especially for students specializing in health promotion as a discussion material to think critically about the challenges faced and how to promote health about the importance of physical activity to society.
“The conference was attractively packed with various extraordinary research findings. This is very much in line with the issue that is currently circulating regarding the relationship between physical activity and non-communicable diseases. I hope that this conference will be a good start for the community to be more active and healthy,” said Chintya.
Through this activity, students also get an expansion of academic networks with researchers and practitioners in various countries and bring the university’s good name in the international arena. FKM Undip hopes to continue to contribute to health promotion efforts in the development of public health sciences and expand the network of international partner collaborations as supporters of UNDIP’s vision towards a World Class University.
